I have finally obtained my Wave preview invite and am in the process of configuring the client. I find myself searching for instructions on “how-to” do something within Wave frequently.
Once you get your Google Wave invite here is how to add Twitter or “Tweety the Twitbot” to your Wave window in 5 steps.
This is designed to be easy and adding Tweety is just like adding a new contact. First, in the bottom left hand corner is a link “Manage Contacts” and next to it is a “+” sign. Click on the “+”.

Click on the + sign in the bottom left
2. Add the contact “tweety-wave@appspot.com” Be aware it must be typed in lower case for Wave to find the bot. Click Submit.

Enter "tweety-wave@appspot.com"
3. Once the contact is saved go ahead and start a new Wave. Click the “+” at the top of the wave to add a new contact to the wave, and select Tweety. Google will authenticate Twitter and you will see a prompt from Twitter to allow access to your account.

Allow Google to Contact Twitter
4. Log in to Twitter with your user name and password and click “Sign In” for access to your Twitter stream. After you successfully sign in go back to the new Wave that you had started as all of your tweets will be populating.

Log into Twitter
5. You should see your Tweets populate within the Wave. Click the “Done” button within the Wave if you have already logged into Twitter and do not see them.
One issue that I have found is that the Tweets will not update on their own. Not to mention if you end up going over your 140 character “What are you doing” update it will not warn you. So give it a shot, and let me know what you find, I am open to help anyone out if they come across any problems.
